The Sour Disaster.

  • The Sour Disaster.

This is what happens when you bake an insanely yummy Triple Lemon Pound Cake in little teeny muffin cups and you don’t grease the cups well enough.

The lemon chips like to linger on the pan.  And leave odd-looking holes in the bottoms of the mini-muffins themselves, where the chips were supposed to be securely baked.

(Alternately, you could also just use muffin liners and not worry about the situation at all.)

The only good thing to come out of this disaster is that The Husband has a batch of 24 little lemon cake nuggets all to himself (because surely I can’t serve these to normal people) that aren’t very attractive but do taste pretty fantastic.

Sigh.  I’ve had my share of pound cake problems… like here.  But I won’t stop baking and failing.   As long as the ratio of winning:failing is better than 12:1.
